A poster for the theatrical movie An early video box for Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack

For fans familiar with the original series and "The Living Legend" episode, this will probably be a painful movie to watch. For those unfamiliar with the series, this movie will be confusing.

This theatrical release combines "The Living Legend" and "Fire In Space" into one movie. It may have seemed like a good idea, but it wasn't. In order to "tack on" the Fire In Space scenes, many fabulous, key scenes from "The Living Legend" had to be excised: Sheba injured, having to part with her father; Cain saying goodbye to her and then to Casseopia. Another annoying change is that all scenes concerning Starbuck and Casseopia have been removed. This makes little sense, only serving to rob the movie of even more depth.

The plot becomes confusing as the movie switches to the "Fire In Space" scenes. This movie would have fared better with just the "Living Legend" episode. As is, the movie is overly simplistic and one-dimensional. This is one of the few telemovies still available. Hopefully, it will soon be removed and replaced with the original "Living Legend" episode that fans deserve to see.
